When we initially fired up the LC70LE847U we were very impressed by the picture quality. Sharp uses a new type of pixel technolgy called Quattron which uses a 4th yellow sub pixel on the LC70LE847U which delivers even more color depth, if this made a difference or not, we’re not sure, but what we do know is that the picture on the LC70LE847U is nothing short of breathtaking.
Combine an amazing picture with a 70″ screen and you have your self wow factor. Which is exactly what the LC70LE847U delivers. Sharp should offer a guarentee that if you friends and family don’t produce an audible wow when they see this TV they will give you your money back.
The LC70LE847U has a very slim bezel that gives it almost a floating look, very sleek, very modern, we love it.
The onboard wifi makes hooking up to Netflix, Facebook and Twitter a breeze, we really like the menus and the remote, both very simple and intuitive to use. Menus reacted quick due to the LC70LE847U ‘s fast processor.
Where the LC70LE847U really shines is in its 3D. The passive 3D on the LC70LE847U is simply amazing. No headaches, no flicker, just pure sexy 3D.
The LC70LE847U also features 240 hz which makes the massive picture smooth and amazing.
If you really want to blow away your friends get the LC70LE847U. It will not disappointing. The LC70LE847U would have cost upward of 50,000 USD a good 8 years ago and can be had for well under 3,000 today. A bargain if you are looking for a massive LED TV.
Things we did not like About the LC70LE847U :
The only complain about the LC70LE847U is perhaps the remote. It has a LOT of button. These days try to find a flat screen that doesn’t…however, it still felt solid in the hand and had a good feel to it. Hard to nit pick about a TV this great and i’ll admit we are drawing at straws with this but a small complaint none the less on an overall perfect LED TV.
